ABOUT

Donkerkloof Game Farm is nestled in between the towns of Jagersfontein and Fauresmith in the Free State, located approximately 90km from Bloemfontein, the judicial capital of South Africa.

We have 3000 hectares of diverse land which borders on the Kromelmboog River, incorporating vast plains and savannahs, as well extensive mountains and outcrops which can only be reached by foot.

The diverse terrain allows us to offer various options for guests, dependent on whether they want to explore the cover of the thicket on the mountains, walk along the river bank or see what the opens plains have to offer.

We have a newly-renovated and modern lodge which can accommodate up to 20 guests on a shared accommodation basis. Our lodge includes a pool, a boma, a watering hole for guests to view animals, an outside bar, fully equipped kitchen run by our highly-trained staff and air conditioned rooms. We offer full lodging, including three meals a day, as well as drinks served to your liking and upon request.

OUR WILDLIFE

We have more than 30 species of game roaming our diverse land on Donkerkloof.

We pride ourselves on offering our guests exactly what they wish for, whether it is spending five days in the bush stalking the perfect buffalo or evaluating our large herds of plains game in order to find that trophy animal that every hunter dreams of.

With more than 120 eland roaming our plains, our guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to value for money. Our Rowland Ward kudu bulls love to frequent our mountains and rocky areas and will only offer an opportunity for the patient hunter willing to put in the hard work.

We take great care and pride ourselves on only introducing the best genes into our game on Donkerkloof and it gives us great pleasure in seeing our hunters go home with trophy and record animals.

We offer a number of different hunting packages and will put together unique and guest-specific deals upon request.
